Kink and BDSM Coaching for Safe, Confident and Shame-Free Exploration

Kink and BDSM can open the door to deeper self-understanding, pleasure, trust, communication and erotic expression — but they can also bring up shame, fear, confusion and uncertainty about where to begin.

You may be curious about BDSM but unsure what your desires mean. You may want to explore dominance, submission, restraint, sensation play, power exchange or role play, but not know how to do it safely. You may be in a relationship where one partner wants to explore more than the other, or where the idea of playing with other people brings up questions around trust, jealousy, boundaries and consent.

I offer professional, non-judgemental sex and relationship coaching to help individuals and couples explore kink and BDSM with clarity, emotional safety, practical knowledge and respect for everyone involved.

Explopring The World of Kink & BDSM

Kink and BDSM can be exciting, intimate and deeply revealing, but they can also bring up questions that feel difficult to answer alone. You may feel curious but unsure, turned on but ashamed, eager to explore but worried about safety, or unsure how to talk about your interests with a partner.

Many people begin exploring kink quietly, through fantasy, porn, online spaces or private conversations, but real-life BDSM requires more than curiosity. It asks for communication, consent, self-awareness, emotional honesty, safety skills and clear agreements — especially when a relationship, community space or other people are involved.

You may be looking for support if…

  • you feel curious about kink or BDSM, but unsure where to begin

  • you experience shame, guilt, confusion or fear around your fantasies, desires or turn-ons

  • you worry that your interest in BDSM means something is “wrong” with you, or that others would judge you if they knew

  • you want to explore dominance, submission, restraint, role play, sensation play, power exchange or other forms of kink, but you do not know how to do so safely

  • you and your partner have different levels of interest, experience or comfort with kink

  • you want to talk to your partner about BDSM, but you are afraid of rejection, conflict, jealousy, misunderstanding or hurting the relationship

  • you are trying to understand consent, boundaries, negotiation, safewords, limits and aftercare in a way that feels practical and emotionally safe

  • you want to join the kink community, attend events or explore play spaces, but you are unsure how to find safe people, avoid red flags or understand the etiquette

  • you are considering playing with other people outside your relationship and need help thinking through trust, agreements, jealousy, safety and emotional consequences

  • you want guidance around toys, tools, equipment, online resources and practical first steps, without relying only on porn, social media or random advice online

  • you are already exploring BDSM, but something has become confusing, emotionally intense, uncomfortable or difficult to navigate

  • you want to explore kink in a way that supports your confidence, pleasure, consent, self-understanding and relationship wellbeing

You do not need to have everything figured out before seeking support. In fact, this work is often most useful when you are still exploring, questioning or trying to understand what feels right for you.

With the right guidance, kink and BDSM can be approached thoughtfully and safely — not as something to hide, rush into or feel ashamed of, but as an area of sexuality and relating that deserves care, clarity, consent and emotional maturity.

Start Exploring Safely

What Does It Take to Explore Kink Safely?

Kink and BDSM can be exciting, intimate and deeply revealing — but without clear consent, communication, boundaries and aftercare, things can quickly become confusing, pressured or unsafe.

This matters even more if you are exploring as a couple, attending events, entering the community or considering play with other people.

Whether you are curious, already experimenting, or exploring as a couple, professional support can help you avoid common mistakes and move forward with more safety, confidence and care.

Hey there, I'm Leah

I am a psychologist specialising in sex(uality) and relationships and have been talking, teaching, and helping people with the most private of challenges, issues, and questions since 2007.

I have been involved in the kink community for over a decade. During that time, I have attended BDSM events, run social munches, worked closely with BDSM toy makers, connected with organisers of kink events and play parties, and developed a deep understanding of the practical, emotional and social realities of entering the scene.

That combination of professional expertise and real-world community knowledge is important, because BDSM is one of the areas where people often underestimate how much they do not know.

This is where professional guidance can make a real difference.
